Produce

We have a selection of produce which is all 'home grown'. Our free range hens lay very delicious eggs, however eggs are only available subject to laying! Our hens are Light Sussex, Welsummer, and Heinz. Our pretty little white drake and his two wives are Call Ducks.

Our delicious shetland lamb is sometimes for sale either as half a lamb (with a shetland recipe book) or individual cuts. Shetlands are quite small so they won't fill the freezer! The meat is dark and very flavoursome. It is sold as hoggett (one to two years old) or mutton, which is becoming very fashionable thanks to the advocacy of Prince Charles.

Hen's Eggs - £1 per half dozen
Duck Eggs - currently unavailable, thanks to Mr Fox
Sheep skin rugs - £40.00

Prize Winning Sheep

"Ali" has a beautiful fine fleece and won first prize at the Mid-Devon Show for Best Shetland Ewe. After producing Dickie and Dastardly in 1994 she is now retired and loves to be fed from the bucket. We have exported our fleeces to Japan, which we are quite proud about, though unfortunately not a very profitable exercise! More about the farm...

History
