Bed & Breakfast in the Farmhouse

Bed

The Farmhouse has three delightful en suite bedrooms (one twin, two double) available for Bed & Breakfast throughout the year. From the Master Bedroom and Sunlit Bedroom upstairs our pedigree Shetland sheep can be seen grazing in the fields. The twin bedded Courtyard Bedroom with its own en suite bathroom is also available and is right next door to the Sunlit Bedroom, so the two rooms often become a family unit. Each bedroom has colour t.v., shower, w.c., hand basin and tea/coffee making facilities. Free wifi is available on request.

We charge £35 per person per night for stays of two nights or more, and this increases to £40 in July, August and September. Single occupancy is £40 increasing to £45 for those months. Afraid we only take bookings for two nights or more, as we find single nights will often block longer reservations.

Breakfast

Breakfast is taken round a large mahogany table in what used to be the old dairy. Eggs come from the free range hens seen roaming in the courtyard. A full Devonshire breakfast is available, together with cereal, toast from Rosie’s bread and home made fruit compote, yoghurts, jams and marmalades. Bacon, sausages and black pudding are supplied by Luscombes of Totnes. For those who fancy a change, James will rustle up Egg Benedict or some delicious locally smoked haddock with a poached egg!

Evenings Out

For evening eating there is a fine selection of local pubs and restaurants to suit everyone’s taste and pocket, all with a well deserved reputation for good food, wine and beer, and James and Rosie will be happy to advise you.

Evenings In

A comfortable guest’s sitting room with sofa, easy chairs, colour t.v. and a selection of games, books and magazines is ready for those who prefer a quiet night in after their day’s exertions!

We regret that our sheep insist that dogs are not allowed.
